Death Registration Statistics, BARMM: Q2 2021
Figure 1 indicates the number of registered Deaths in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao for the period of January to March 2021 and the same period in 2020. For the period under review, the total registered deaths reached 1,105 in 2021 or 16 percent increased from 1,032 registered deaths in the same period in 2020.
Figure 2 shows the percent distribution of BARMM Q2 2021, which is Q2 2020 with a rate of 48 percent, and it increased by 52 percent on Q2 2021.
Figure 3 presents the number of registered Death by Month, for the month of April it increased by 25 percent, May increased by 3.43 percent and it decreased by 5.29 percent for the month of June.
Figure 4 showing the percentage of the registered Death for Q2 2021. 36 percent for May, 35 percent for April and 29 percent for June.
Figure 5 shows that the numbers of registered deaths increased by 7.07 percent during the second quarter of 2021, that is from 1,032 in the second quarter of the previous year to 1,105 in Q2 2021. Registered deaths in three provinces increased by 6.11 percent Lanao Del Sur, 21.41 percent in Maguindanao, and 23.68 in Sulu while Basilan and Tawi-Tawi posted negative 18.88 percent and 26.32 percent, respectively.
Figure 6 shows the percentage distribution per province, Maguindanao has the highest percentage of 41 percent followed by Lanao Del Sur with 30 percent, Sulu 13 percent, Basilan 10 percent and Tawi-Tawi with 6 percent
Figure 7 presents the number of registered deaths in the cities of BARMM. Marawi City recorded highest number of registered deaths during the second quarter of 2021 with a total of 71. This was followed by Lamitan City with 54, Bongao 40, Jolo 35 and Sharif Aguak with 10 registered deaths.
Figure 8 shows the top 5 municipalities in BARMM with the most number of registered deaths. The Municipality of Parang, Maguindanao recorded the highest number of registered deaths with a total of 66. This was followed by Wao, Lanao Del Sur with 55 registered deaths. The Municipalities of Datu Odin Sinsuat(Dinaig), Maguindanao, Upi, Maguindanao, and Sultan Kudarat(Nuling), Maguindanao posted 50, 39 and 38 registered deaths respectively.
