PSA, MILG Inks Memorandum of Agreement for 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS)

Cotabato City – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) BARMM and its partner the Ministry of Interior and Local Government formally signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Rollout.

The MOA between PSA and MILG was signed and represented by Engr. Akan G. Tula, OIC-Regional Director of PSA – BARMM and Atty. Naguib G. Sinarimbo, Minister of MILG, and the witnesses at MILG Conference Room, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City on 02 August 2022. Chief Statistical Mahmur H. Sarail, Senior Statistical Specialist/ CBMS Focal Person Ms. Aquessa L. Macud of PSA-BARMM, Ms. Fausiah R. Abdulah, Director II, Operations Management Services MILG, and other officials and staff of PSA and MILG also witnessed the ceremonial signing.

OIC – RD Engr. Akan G. Tula emphasized that the Republic Act No. 11315 or the CBMS Act is an organized technology-based of collecting, processing, and evaluating necessary disaggregated data that can be used for local planning, program implementation and impact monitoring.

Minister Atty. Sinarimbo was so pleased to have this partnership with the PSA. For a long time MILG will have a systematic and organized data collection that can be analyzed. Solid data will come to reality that can be used for planning, programming, and budgeting.
