PSA-BARMM celebrates 31st Civil Registration Month

Philippine Statistics Authority of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-BARMM) spearheaded the celebration of the 31st Civil Registration Month (CRM) in BARMM in February 2021 with the theme “Strengthening Civil Registration and Vital Statistics’ Digital Information: The Ways to Manage the New Normal”.

PSA has been gearing towards digitalization and other innovations as regards to its civil registration services to make it more convenient and safer for the clients during this pandemic and new normal.

Local Civil Registrars (LCRs) in all cities and municipalities in the region, in partnership with PSA-BARMM Provincial Offices, conducted a kickoff ceremony for this month long celebration last 01 February 2021 in their respective provinces. Naser S. Usman, OIC-Regional Director; Akan G. Tula, OIC-CRASD Chief; and Delson A. Yusop, Registration Officer IV, attendedthe opening ceremony conducted by the Association of Local Civil Registrars of Maguindanao and Cotabato City (ALCRMCC) and PSA-Maguindanao.

PSA-BARMM and LCRs in the region are encouraging the Bangsamoro People to participate in the programs and activities that they have prepared for this month-long celebration.

This is in pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 682 signed on 28 January 1991 by former President Corazon C. Aquino, declaring February as the Civil Registration Month.
