PSA-Maguindanao participates the “Go Serbisyo Para Sa Bayan”

The Maguindanao provincial government launched the “Gobyernong Serbisyo Para sa Bayan” or “Go Serbisyo Para sa Bayan” at the provincial capitol in Buluan Maguindanao. The program was initiated by the National Government under the leadership of President Duterte which aims to address the decade – long poverty and inequality situation in the country. The implementing arm of the said project is the “Let’s Go Para sa Patuloy na Pagbabago Movement” in collaboration with the Office of the Assistant to the President (OSAP). The program was held last July 19, 2018 (Thursday) at 8:00 o’clock in the morning at the Municipal Gymnasium, Buluan, Maguindanao.

The purpose of the “Go Serbisyo para sa Bayan” Caravan is to promote awareness on government services and opportunities accessible to remote and underprivileged communities. Furthermore, it brings government services closer to the grassroot communities through direct delivery of services. It is an inter-agency effort to showcase the government’s core programs and services to improve the peoples’ living conditions in keeping with President Duterte’s campaign promise of “Pagbabago” and “Change is Coming”.

There were eight (8) agencies that actively participated in the said program and one of those is the Philippine Statistics Authority – Maguindanao. Four (4) staffs were sent in the said program to participate. They were tasked to do the mobile registrations in collaboration with the Local Civil Registry (LCR) of Buluan.

Each agency has their own specific task. The DOH, through MHP/PHO, was tasked to give medical and dental services and DOLE on a Job Fair through PESO. The DA, through the MAO/PAO, was also tasked for the distribution of seeds and seedlings and BFAR, through MFO/PFO, on the distribution of fingerlings. On the other hand, the TESDA was in-charged on the haircut and massage while the LTO for mobile registration. The DTI, through GO Negosyo Center, was assigned to give an orientation on SMES and lastly, the PSA-Maguindanao on giving advices, recommendations and directions to clientele who have problems in their birth registrations like no middle names, wrong entry on the birth date, wrong entry on the year of birth and misspelled names.
