PSA-BARMM conducts Feeding Program at Markaz Al-Amir Madrasah

In line with the celebration of the 6th PSA Anniversary, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) of BARMM conducted a feeding program for the students of the Markaz Al-Amir Madrasah, Cotabato City last 28 September 2019. 

Hosni M. Ali, Supply Officer of PSA-BARMM, officially started the program with an invocation. Cayang M. Macud, Chief of the Civil Registration and Administrative Support Division (CRASD), expressed her gratitude to the students and personnel of the madrasah for accepting their request and invitation to conduct this activity, which is one of the agency’s mandates under the Partnership and Linkages category.  

Ustadz Ahmad A. Lipulos of Markaj Al-Amir Madrasah also delivered an inspirational message. He cited the importance of gratefulness to everything that is given, because what is given is from the Almighty Allah.  

After the opening program, the students were divided into four groups for the parlor games which were facilitated by Mohammad-Aquil T. Ulama, Administrative Officer I of PSA-BARMM. They competed on Egg Relay, Cup Arrangement and Cotton Ball Straw. Winners received prizes from PSA-BARMM, while the rest also received consolation prizes and tokens. PSA-BARMM served arrozcaldo, fruit juice and bananas after the parlor games.  

Each group also assigned representatives for the Qur’an Reading competition. The contestants were Norain Mangilala, Rufaida Mokahlol, Soraida Bantuas and Noraida Mohamad. Bantuas won the said contest. Certificates and prizes were also awarded. 

The program was ended by Noraisa E. Nur, Human Resource and Management Officer (HRMO) of PSA-BARMM. She hopes that this will be the start of the strong partnership between PSA and the madrasah for the vision of ensuring equitable development towards improved quality of life for all.
