The Philippine Statistics Authority in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PSA-ARMM), headed by Regional Director Dr. Abubakar S. Asaad, had a soft launching of the PSA-ARMM Official Website last November 14, 2017. This was done during the conduct of the Regional Data Dissemination Forum on Socio-Economic and Demographic Characteristics based on POPCEN 2015 held at EM Manor Hotel and Convention Center in Cotabato City.

The website was designed for the convenience of the data users, thus it focused on aesthetics with clear navigation, can adapt to different web browsers and is responsive with any devices used. Its overall design generally follows the theme of the PSA’s main website. It was established to provide PSA-ARMM a channel for data dissemination. Relevant statistical figures about ARMM’s economic and social status are readily available upon visiting the website’s homepage. Downloadable publications, latest news updates and other articles can also be accessed through the website.

The Directory of the officials of PSA-ARMM and its Provincial Offices can be accessed in this website. It serves as a portal for the general public to send their data requests to PSA-ARMM and stakeholders may also subscribe to receive notification emails for every update in the website. Moreover, the main websites of PSA and other PSA Field Offices are also linked in this system.

According to Mr. Abdulbasit E. Abdulsamad, Statistical Specialist II and Administrator of the PSA-ARMM Website, the website is still on its beta version or is still in the process of further improvement. Through this website, the PSA-ARMM also plans to provide relevant statistical figures of each of the provinces of ARMM and will continuously update its contents to be able to cater to the needs of the stakeholders more efficiently.
